    480V Wye Service Voltage Issues

Is the transfer switch a 4 pole switch?

phase sequence test of medium voltage sources

Know if phase identity is important as well as rotation could be important to the genset's voltage regulator.

    Challenger Circuit Breakers

I had a couple of ugly weekends with some at a facility. They were retrofits into an old board, if you have this do not rack them out hot, we didn't based on what happened to the last guy's who tried. We primary injection tested them, I know of no test kit. We had some failures to trip at...

    breaker trip on ground fault

I don't know what you did electrically, but SST trip units are pretty old. Can you provide drawing?

Main breaker trips on ATS operation

The switch back is hot to hot, not restart from blackout. You can do an in phase transfer by approproiate control, or use pre and post transfer contacts to switch off loads, then back on once the switch is made.

carry out PM's on siemens PLC's

I suggest as a minimum be able to connect to PLC, download program, verify you have it. Try to practice on an on site spare so you know the software. Learn how to change the battery, every PM put in a new one why not. Demonstrate you can put a program in an empty one. When you feel confident...

Need to make control circuit diagrams for troubleshooting

I'll check on this and post back, my enineer will know. I can't think of any better way than ladder for a technician to grasp and fix anything. The large oafish ones I mean.

    Data closet monitoring results.

Take your fluke meter and clamp, prove the 2.5 ground amps are really there. Then get a window to crash the room, unplug branch's until it's zero. Run it down. But be sure your monitor is set correctly against the fluke meter's amp clamp.

    Health benefits

Health care in USA is tough. Hospitals and Medical staff are generally trained at their own expense, to work for the living they can bid for on their incomes. Medical equipment is partly privatly funded, part Goverment funded. Hospital properties same same plus must be very insured (their rates...

    Arguing without getting emotional

If one particular person is combative, emotional, etc, be carefull! I worked with a person like that, I actually got promoted big because I was stable and could bring work to fruitation. Problem was after time it became bromide that "he gets away with that because of you" "he wouldn't say that...
