    ductwork made easy in solidworks

You may want to look at DriveWorksXpress. This can be more powerful and user friendly than design tables in a lot of cases. This will allow you to enter your desired dimensions and it will automatically create a new model and drawing. Cole M CSWP, CSWST, CSWI, CPDM Certified DriveWorks AE

In need of a new PDM system supporting SolidWorks

For what it is worth I worked for a company that had product center. I still have several friends there and they made the investment to switch 50+ seats to EPDM because they determined it was a much better and much more user friendly tool. Cole M CSWP, CSWST, CSWI, CPDM Certified DriveWorks AE

In need of a new PDM system supporting SolidWorks

What is the concern with upgrading to EPDM? DBWorks is a very similar program to this and of very similar cost what would make this acceptable but EPDM unacceptable? Cole M CSWP, CSWST, CSWI, CPDM Certified DriveWorks AE

    SolidWorks 2012 Has Arrived

CorBlimeyLimey, I would agree if SP's were just fixes that you possibly should not have to pay for them...but on that same front if you bring your car in for the system control updates you pay for those. Interesting thing about SolidWorks SP's is they bury ehancements in them more regularly...

    SolidWorks 2012 Has Arrived

Quote: "That's an old saw that's been around for years.•It was promised at SWW 2011, for the second time." Um this has never been promised. It has been on the top ten, but it has never been promised to be included. I like the comparisons to line Cad as well. The expectation for backwards...

    running out of memory

The 3g switch was a bandaid for a bullet wound back in the day. It was the best thing windows could come up with at the time until 64bit systems were up to speed and out on the market. Untimately if you are having memory errors your best long term solution is a 64bit system. SolidWorks...

    Flat Pattern with configurations

If the button is greyed out I suspect a missed step or possibly a registry issue, I would recommend contacting your SolidWorks VAR they should be able to assist in resolving the issue. Cole M CSWP, CSWST, CSWI, CPDM Certified DriveWorks AE

Can I associate item number from BOM to the detail drawing of the part

I think the important thing is to ask truly what the goal is. Is the goal to associate a drawing number with the balloon so they match? Then the thing to do is use the filename as the balloon number and Bom line item number and everything is automatically joined and updates automatically...
