Hello.
What is the best laptop among Thinkpad P51, Zbook 15 G4 and Dell M7520? (or the upcoming P52).
I'm looking for something very powerful, 15 inches, 64GB Ram, and Xeon 1535 or even higher. All the aforementioned laptops fulfill these conditions. On the paper they are similar.
But what...
1) Ability to export as an older version, at least the most recent ones. In order to share your work (as native and full) with users with older versions.
2) Ability to plot a 3D surface from an equation.
3) A good gear generator with a nice GUI, not the buggy old hidden menu.
4) The topology...
Hello.
I would like to get a body, yes, but something more simplified, adjusting surfaces or something like that.
Anyway, How did you get it?
If you generate that body with a sweep you would notice that the computer can manipulate the result much easier/faster than this non-parametric "body"...
Hello.
I still get difficult to work with STL files on NX.
For example get this "simple" file:
https://grabcad.com/library/tension-spring-11/files/Spring.stl
How would you convert it to a native NX body?
Rapid Surfacing needs the user to select many point on the faceted body and can be...
If I hace the motion simulation of a simple mechanism
How can I graph the derivative of one variable against another one?
(both are distances)
I can do it by just looking with the naked eye at the slope on the graph but I prefer to have accurate results.
Hello John.
I already knew that option but I think it's not what I'm loking for.
Who would you modify the projected spline curve points without editing the other two?
What I really wanted is a method to "extract" a spline from the sketch, convert a spline got with "insert->sketch curve->Studio...
hello.
If I've created a spline from the sketch environment.
Now the spline is constrained to that sketch plane.
How can I move any of its points out of that plane?
Or how can I remove that constrain to the plane?
Could you also explain me the difference between normal and perpendicular to...
Thanks PhoeNX, it seems easy, I'll try.
I guess I could also try to do it with a greyscale image by converting it to several 2-color images with different thresholds. Then repeat the process shown on the video and at the end try to soften the edges or even get a surface defined by them.
Anyway...
I've been reading and found that other engraving programs do it, such as Vectric Aspire, VCarve Pro, Carvewright Sculptor or diyCAM.
Anyway I'll wait for the NX experts.
