    Hi again It seems to work partially by moving the entity to the layer I have created, but doesn't change the properties of the object or the layer (so doesn't change dashed to dash dot for example) and the layer which you have to make yourself also has to be set up with the correct properties...

    The properties I am after are the same as if you are using matchprop command, ie. colour, linetype, layer global width and so on, some of which I can get directly from a copy of the layer (through design center as suggested by Exxit, but not all).     Is it possible to match properties from a specific layer in an xref drawing to your current drawing. The xref is 5 minute opening time heavy so that its a real pain to open and copy object (or Ncopy). Cheers. Sean.

    When I use the right click option in edit mode the default right click menu comes up instead of the normal edit one. Does anybody know why? Fix? Thanks Cheers. Sean.

    Can never remember how to spell plural of formula, but anyway. In autocad tables, when I write 200/225 (or something like) it is show as such, whilst my friend does the same and it is converted to a formula (being something just less than 1). Does anybody know how to turn off this formula...

    Lost crosshairs - Autocad 2008

    Hi I have to use taskmanager but it happen with just one drawing open (or more). Other programmes are open. OS is XP. Files are normal size, 400kb with xrefs slightly bigger. Loads of disk space and 3gb ram. Cheers. Sean.

    Its normal text which one finds in tables which is mtext. It doesnt happen in all drawings just every now and then. (nothing to do with attributes)

    I have a table in autocad with various text which is to be replaced. When I type in the text all the lines of the table disappear. To get the lines back I just have to move the table slightly (like a regen). But does anybody know how to avoid this? Cheers. Sean.
