    Creating Threads Problem

    You can modify the Threads.xls file for custom threads. You need to have all the info: major, minor, tap and pitch diameters etc. When you get into the file you'll see what you need. There might be another problem in that you will have to replace your file with an unmodified one (just overwrite).

    Just a thought: there are 2 kinds of points. One works for locating holes, etc. on sketches and models and the other one doesn't. You can toggle between them by clicking on the point icon turning it from one to the other. Since I can't get it straight which does what I put both kinds of points...

    The problem does stem from the Threads.xls file. As I recall, Autodesk said to copy a new version into your directory overwriting the existing and everything should be OK. BTW, I added a custom thread but to do so you must have all the info for it: pitch, minor, tap and major diameters & etc...

    I took a week of training in IV 9 and pretty much all they taught us was what IV can do, not so much how to do it. And BTW, why is the c/s so close to the raised part of the flange? Remember, sometimes you just can't manufacture it the way you design it.
