A man has a flat tire right out side of a sanitarium. While changing the tire he kicks the hub cap with the lug nuts in it and they go down into the sewer drain.

The tick marks for the Drawing location A,B,C..1,2,3 around the periphery are "Normally" exactly 10.00" for this very reason.

A procedure is for a repair that is repetitive.

You could use the previously approved data to create a Part Number specific procedure and have that procedure approved by a DER Authorized to approve procedures.
That specific repair procedure can then be used multiple times on same part number parts for different aircraft.
I sometimes wonder where the Lawyers are headed.
