I will check into using some surfacing methods...although with my limited use of ISDX I have seen that creating a surface with a series of curves requires curves that define the boundaries of the surface, which I will have to create specifically.
Thanks,
Recneps
Having heard that Pro/CMM is not worth purchasing, I assumed that the export functionality of PC-DMIS (CMM software) can give me enough IGES data to create a surface from a quilt feature.
Unfortunately, I have been unsuccessful so far. I have tried exporting PC-DMIS measurement data (created...
Thanks for the reply. I may have fixed the problem - at least for now.
There is a technical note on the PTC website that describes MS Netmeeting causing this type of anomaly. I am not running Netmeeting, but it got me thinking that there may be another program that is using graphics resources...
In the past, I have posted many responses to users here who asked about graphics problems...now I have a problem that is completely baffling me:
System; Compaq AP550 (PIII 733Mhz, 512Mb 900Mhz RDRAM, Nvidia Quadro2 Pro), win2000 w/ Compaq P1100 monitor (21")
Setup; ProE 2000i2, config.sup...
Bonn is right - IGES is becoming more and more obsolete due to accuracy limitations. STEP is the way to go, especially due to the fact that there are new STEP protocols coming down the pipe that will integrate seamlessly with NC machinery (called STEP-NC)...something you tool shop guys will...
Sandman,
I took a suggested process from a ProE user group website for PDF creation (which didn't work too well) and 'idiot-proofed' it for widespread use. Many people have asked me for it, and it seems to be working fine for them. It is posted on the internet in a knowledgebase article here...
Looks like you have to create two separate PDF files. My PDF creation utility is set to print only 'current' sheet, but it automatically adjusts the page size created at 300dpi because of the config option PS_OUTPUT_WITH_PAGESIZE set to 'yes'. If I add another sheet, ProE automatically assumes...
If you haven't already, make sure that your custom BOM format file (<filename>.fmt) is intact and located in the directory specified by the config option that points there:
BOM_FORMAT <full path to BOM format file>
I would also check the PTC knowledgebase to see if PTC may have added more...
ProEpro is right. We use truEvault and are very happy with it. As long as you keep in mind that you are paying thousands less than Intralink and Windchill, then truEvault becomes a very viable alternative, and allows for an upgrade path to something else in the future once a different...
Two config.pro options will affect your problem. When you go from one computer or operating system, you may need to vary the following from their default values:
FONTS_SIZE - (small, medium, large): This option controls the size of the fonts in the text menus.
WINDOW_SCALE - value (0.5-1.0...
Kspie,
Your post that included:
"The only reason I went to a new computer and and the faster graphics card was so I could manipulate the complex models. Guess what - I'm back using my old 200 mghz NEC computer and I'm pretty pissed off. PTC should address this problem or let us know which...
ProE will want to set up a separate material file for each material. The filename format is filename.mat.
Although it would be nice to have all of the information in one single file, ProE is set up for separate files. If you put all of the files in a single directory, reachable with the...
