Thanks for the responses. Well this is something I used to do in UG, years ago. I was just extruding a simple dovetail tool and place a circle in front of it and tried to extrude it, which did not work out at all. These form tools are used in bar-stock machines like Acme-Gridly's. It would...
Good after noon, what I would like to do is make a dovetail form tool blank and save it as a part. Then insert it into an assembly and and then import a mfg. part and mate them, so that the the mfg. part is on the face of the dovetail form tool. Then I would like to do an Extrude Cut, thru all...
I would also suggest that you look at and try SolidEdge as well sense you are looking at new CAD systems. Get the full picture of both systems before deciding.FYI4U.
Thanks for the response and yes I did try that, but it kept erroring some about geometry error that it could not figure out. That is why I did it as an assembly.
Good after noon. I have a link of jack chain, which was made by sweeping a wire diameter on a composite curve. It kind of looks like a figure-8. I would love to create 10 more of these links, but nothing is working right for me and I keep getting nothing. I just need to be able to move these...
We use PDF file allot, bot for the floor prints and the sales prints and have no problem showing different line weights. We do a save as PDF file to each of our parts drawings and from each of those PDF files we send then to printers all over our network and to the website. Just be careful to...
Sounds like you need to spend some time with Enhancement Requests in the customer portal of SW. I know I have sent several ER in and sometimes they do change thing in SW.
Thanks Eric as a last resort I may try it, but still it is something that should be modifiable so we can correct SW's mistakes. I wish that the thread tables were also modifiable because there are mistakes in there as well, That is one of the big things I miss from the day when we used UG.
Well after looking everywhere I have concluded that there is only one way to get this this working correctly so I filed EC 1-3359303032 to make changing the default crosshatches for each material independently changeable. Thanks.
Thanks for the response, but I already set that to ANSI33(Bronze/Brass), but Free-Cutting Brass & High Leaded Brass don't use the ANSI33 cross hatch, they use that rediculious straight hatch. Then I have to change it to the ANSI33 cross hatch, everytime. I can not change either in...
I would love to change it permenently, so in the DBase. I am currently changing the drawings one at a time, which is getting to be a big waste of time..
Hello, I have a dumb question here, is there away to change the cross-hatching of free-cutting brass from straight hatching to diagonal hating, like "Brass"? Thanks for any help.
