the slip ring i used is a rotating electric connection to a 460v motor. I can not explain this any better and hope most people know what i mean. thank you for you patience.
Are there many problems using a vfd on a 460v 1 hp inverter duty motor that uses a slipring ?. Are there some concerns with this design ?. A good part of the work by motor is at 60 hz
the reason i ask is we have 1500 kw gen they run about 1 hr a week without a load and were told that it could lead to wet stacking which is not good. don't know if this is true.
I told everything i know about the air line and was trying to find out about correcting this setup. by using a little knowledge the line 200' long without anyway of releasing the condensation has to be a bad setup. there are actuators and solenoids on the header. the header does not have a way...
We have two compressors with dryers auto drains and then the air line goes out for 200' out in the plant. Should there be some type of drains out in the plant where the air just waits to be used up. we have equipment that locks up and no one knows way. does condensation come in to play here...
Is there a method to test a pump that uses packing for a seal when on the bench and no motor attahed? This is so the pump is not installed and then find out that it is leaking way to much when operated.
whats the best way to supply compressed air to air actuators ? Piping = black iron, stainless , aluminum , pvc ? what do i have to do to keep the acuators clean and clear of water dirt etc ? gages, filters ?

We have a system, hot water circulating through 4" lines with 4 pumps with 10hp motors . Only 1 motor / pump working at a time. The hot water is circulating through all the pumps even thoug they are not running . Is this a bad design for the non running pumps because when the water passes...
