I can seem to use the combine feature.
I have two solid bodies in my part, that are overlapping, and the combine button is still grey in the feature menu.
I even tried doing it with just two cubes, as I thought maybe my one body was to complex . . . no luck.
Am I missing something? Help!
Thanks.
I use the routing add on to create large electrical harnesses. On some of these harnesses I use the covering option to cover segments of the harness with extra layers. This being said, to distinguish the section I want to have the extra layering I split the route at the start and end points and...
There is always the option of over-riding your dimension, and manually putting in the number with the comma yourself (not really the best practice, but will give you your end result).
You can also try opening the axels and saving them as parasolid or igs file (as they are much smaller than steps), and insert into your assembly this way.
I do (electrical mostly), but this paticular piece is for a different (much less critical) application.
As an FYI I took the part to a machine shop and was able to determine that there was not enough area to provide sufficient thread contact.
Everyones comments were appreciated.
I have a clamping nut that is a part of a coaxial connector and need to know if I can thread the portion shown in the attached drawing (I didn't inlude the whole clamping nut just the area I want to apply the exterior thread too).
Basically my question is how do I determine if I have enough...
I would like to specify a value for the minimum radius my spline can have, without having to go through the effort of defining a custom library. Is there not a way I can just select a spline and define the bend radius I would not like it to go under?
Thank You in Advance,
Nicole
I am not able to set my desired fixed length to a segment of a route. I know that the length is almost 3 times as large as the distance between the two clips I am trying to apply the fixed length too but I am getting the warning message that "with the direction and magnitude specified, the...
Thank you both very much for your responses. Fixing my problem was a simple as making sure the components I wanted to move together were all locked to eachother and there were no fixed components.
Again, you input is appreciated.

I am trying to rotate a large sub-assembly relative to another portion of the assembly. Namely trying to show the retraction of a landing gear system into a plane.
The landing gear has a common axis with the exterior and I want to rotate it along this axis. It seams it should be simple to me...
