It seems this is at least partly due to organizations like ASCE that have very restrictive advertising policies in their ethical cannons. In turn I believe most engineers are overly conservative with their advertising.

I used it at my former firm. It works well for 2D stuff. I never used it for 3D. It was simple to apply loads and seemed to flow pretty well overall. No major complaints that I can remember.

Engineering and drafting on pole barns can be very simple if one has a good spreadsheet and drafting templates set up. I routinely did these at my old firm with about 15min of engineering and 30min of drafting.

To be more clear I should say that I do not see it replacing a more traditional website. It is more of a networking tool to direct people to my website.

What does everybody think of a Facebook / social networking site profile for a structural (or whatever) engineering firm.
Seems a lot of my contractor and design/build clients are starting to get them. To me that seems to indicate it is time I consider doing the same.

I do not see a difference between providing a .pdf and providing a hard copy of your stamp. Either can be easily manipulated and/or forged in today's world.
