nevermind. got it...just didn't search enough places...
I usually go to the SW help first, then here, then to comp.cad.solidworks (via google) then to the SW forum.
If you select the note close to the arrow tip, it selects just that leader, not the whole note.
Now how hard would it be to add...
Is there anyway to delete multiple leaders in a note? (i.e. I have three, but only want two). I see its easy to create them, but see no way to easily delete them.
is there anyway to "save" the image quality? If I set the slider to high, then do anything to the part (i.e. zoom in or out) the image quality goes back to low.
The sheetmetal guys here are looking for a flat pattern that shows basically the tangent edges of each bend...I can give them the bend line, which appears to be the centerline of the bend...they can manually add the offset lines, but is there a way to get SW to show these?
SW 2005 SP3.1 -->...
- to constrain a rectangular object to another rectangular object requires 3 contraints...in this case the distance mate is the first, followed by 2 other mates to control it in all 3 directions...I can do the distance mate to another component, but not to a created plane.
- only the first...
I've created a few planes in an assembly, and I want to have a face of a component "X" distance away from the plane...if I enter the distance, SW says I've over defined it. If I let it ride (accept the default distance, rebuild), the "what's wrong" says "planar face and plane are not the correct...
update 3...the <DIM> appears to be a placeholder for a tolerance...the gap only appears when the leader tail is to the right of the text...so its holding a space for the tolerance, even tho there is no tolerance in this situation...
SW 2005 0.1
news update...
the actual text of the note read as such:
<NUM_INST>X <MOD-DIAM> <hw-diam> <hw-thru> <dim>
What is the <dim> for at the end? Removing it solves the problem, but why is it there? The calloutformat.txt file appears to be correct...
