I am looking for a product that I used about 7 years ago. My recollection is that the product name was Viscotec and it was made by a company called Winn.
My need is to find a suitable lubricant for pin & hanger on a bridge. The product was sprayed on (out of an aerosol can) initially had the...

We do not design bridges for specific trucks, but you can rate them for specific trucks.
To answer your question (I hope), It will be up to the owner of the bridge if they will allow you to use the operating loading.
If calculated correctly, the bridge can safely handle the operating load...
I think the best information on timber trail bridges can be found through the US Forest service:
http://www.fs.fed.us/na/wit/
At minimum, you will probably want to look at the trail bridge catalog:

And their free publication on Timber...
An exodermic deck is essentially a thin concrete deck poured on top of a steel grid deck. The two act compositely together. They tend to be lighter than traditional RC decks.
For more information on cost, I'd contact:

If you are using box girders placed adjacent to each other, use post-tensioning in the lateral direction; otherwise use sufficient diaphragms to ensure the bridge acts as a single unit thus preventing differential deflection.
Are you are using it as a deck replacement? When you add the new deck, you'll be adding a lot of dead load to the existing bridge.
Are you trying have the deck act compositely with the bridge as a strengthening measure? The cast-in-place deck will only help with live load. the existing bridge...
I'm a little confused, are you using the existing bridge as form/shoring for the new slab? Aren't voided slabs usually precast thus eliminating the need for formwork?
Why not rip out the existing bridge, drive your piles build a cap and drop in some precast voided slabs (I assume were talking...
The main distinction beween a culvert and a tunnel is that a culvert is a drainage structure under an embankment, while a tunnel is an underground passage. What you have is a tunnel. I have been told that there is no design code for tunnels. Good luck.
Your descrition has me a bit lost, If you are familiar with construction methods, I recommend you get a copy of RS Means http://nt.receptive.com/rsmeans/bookstore/ to estimate your construction costs. Make sure you know what kind of material will be excavated because the cost of rock vs soil...
This problem is more complicated than it seems because the load on your gate will depend heavily on its stiffness and how it compares to that of the vehicle hitting it and the posts.
It's really an energy/work dissipation problem Work (energy) a function of force and distance. This has to...
