    Good Book on Combustion Data

The North American Combustion Handbook has value for use in industrial heating (steel, refining, incineration, steam generation). Volume I is the original and more valuable of the two. These books are not applicable for internal combustion engines as I interpret your question.

Induction Pump Motor Back Spin Protection

We had a situation recently where a 1000 hp 11.5 kV induction motor (full voltage start) was burned up because someone accidently tried starting the pump while it was spinning backwards. The operator was switching from one pump to another and was trying to perform a backflush of the pump intake...

    Hydrogen Leak Detection

Thanks iainuts! I will look into Draeger and see what they have. The H2scan is a chip based sensor and they claim to distinguish only hydrogen in their sensing capabilities. This is important as our hydrogen use is for atmosphere control in natural gas fired furnaces (radiant tubes). I could...

    Hydrogen Leak Detection

Thanks 25362, but the thread you reference is pertaining to burning hydrogen. Our hydrogen supply piping is not hot enough to ignite the leak. I see a company named H2scan that makes a portable hydrogen leak detector, anyone have experience with H2scan detectors?

    Hydrogen Leak Detection

Can anyone provide information on leak detection in hydrogen piping systems. I work for a specialty steel maker that uses hydrogen atmospheres in processing of steel. We have several plants using this process and I have been asked to find a way to detect leaks resulting from an accident at...
