Oh yeah thats can also screw things up, I try to keep AA and AF settings at the game option level rather than at the windows driver level.
Glad it worked out for you!!!

Are you running Vista or XP? I've noticed a big hit in graphics performance using the Vista version of SW on a gaming card.

I run an 8800GTS 640MB working from home sometimes, besides the occasional insignificant glitch and no realview, its actually really stable.
Try looking on ebay or google products for a good professional card, some places sell workstation videocard pulls for half price or more off the retail...
Besides REALVIEW not working, no major home useage problems on an 8800GTS.
Just make sure that the Anti-Aliasing and Anthroscopic filtering are set to "application controled" or you will get some weird graphical anolomies in SW.

Just switched over to X64 not too long ago, so far its been a good performer, the 4GB RAM ceiling is definately a nice thing to have.
The only real drawback we had was lack of XP64 driver support for some of the printers in the office.

You can surface extrude the 2D sketch with an up to surface end condition to the surface you want it projected on, then convert the edges that are on the surface into a 3D sketch.
Or you can go thru all with the surface extruded 2D sketch, and use the intersect curve command.

Create a new part in context to the assembly, create your sweep, exit out back to assembly mode, and edit in context the part you want to remove material from in the assembly, go to Insert>Features>Cavity (one of those "forgotten" commands), pick the sweep in the design features dialouge box, it...
Just as a thought... Those fins could be created by using a sheetmetal loft then using whatever series of cuts to your calculated shape of the fin, then you can generate a flat pattern.
