BobM3 is making a little sense to me. This is a link to an example. http://www.cnczone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=961&page=2&pp=15
. Notice the g2 line has 2 "z" s which means it will not work. I may understand this by decerning the difference between the drawing certerline of the raduis and...
I am using xz on a 2 axis lathe. I am trying I am using a tool with a .031 nose radius to generate a .125 radius. The machine moves .125-.031=.094r to make the part .125 radius. The start and stop points of the radius are what I need to generate.

When traveling in z direction the left quadrant of the radius is the leading edge and the lower quadrant is trailing by the raduis amount. As you go thru a larger radius the machine actually moves in the part raduis- the tool raduis. The start and stop points are changed by the tool tip...
I need to draw in autocad the same radius offset that is created by g41 and 42 in cnc gcode. As you do a g2 and g3 raduis the actual tool position is not actually offset by the amount of radius. How do you draw the g2,g3 with raduis comp in AutoCad?

When I was just starting my shop it was in a poorly heated space. We used to add kerosine into the dark cutting oil because the oil when cold was too thick to pump. Well that worked ok for a few months. Then one day when my brother turned off the motor the field colapsing set the machine on...
My machines show a large load during acceleration and decel. When running free the numbers you are getting are too high. The gauge is wrong or the spinle bearings have problems. If my machine had noticeable vibrations and it was new I would be enforcing the warrenty. I would like to know who...
We are not in the U.K. but we do this. Inside or outside? This can be done with a univeral centertype grinder. This machine is in nearly every grinding room>

Any process that puts chrome plating on stainless steel is tough to do. The plater may tell you he can "level" the finsh. Many times the plating just makes the flaws look worse. Electopolish has looked very good to me. Many of the medical parts I grind are later electropolished. Maintaining...
Excello, XLO, and Maag are the machinery names that come to mind. I have some of these machines for sale. You should also be thinking about the equipment you will use to measure the worms, that is the gauging equipment.

Splines on automotive shafts are generally rolled. Very expensive dies and equipment. The next procedure is "hobbing" with something like a Barber Coleman hobber. Determining what you want to make can be very difficult because the pressure angle on an automotive part may not be a common angle...
