G'Day Dean,
[indent][/I am 80yrs young and have been a DraftSight user (totally non-professional user) for several years now. I have stumbled my way through all the help facilities, both within the programme help and on the dreaded WEB version.
Let's talk about getting the best out of all the...
Dear fellow DraftSight users,
I have been using DS 2018 and have just purchased, via an upgrade, DS2019.
I am using Windows 7 and have had no problems at all with either DS2018 or DS2019.
BTW I did install a lot more memory before my upgrade to DS2019.

G'day from Down Under,
Thanks for your prompt and useful reply. I will certainly delve into U codes a bit more.
Actually I created my own work-around - I am creating some small dwgs in DraftSight - by putting 'x' on one layer and '..' on another layer, suitably positioned.
I am trying to reconstruct some diagrams from the 1960s.
I am trying to insert special characters - y diaeresis (U+0021), x diaeresis and z diaeresis. I have found U=0021 but cannot find a code for x or z. Some guidance would be greatly appreciated. David >74 yrs young.
G'Day Diego,
You can edit a Block via MODIFY,PROPERTIES.
You are able to vary Posion, Dimensions and Text this way.
Hope this helps.

David, from Downunder.

As an example I am trying to print the Unicode characters:-
U+03BC and U+03B4
but, to no avail.
Actually I am trying to save some 50yr old drawings of a...
I have been using the free 2D DraftSight for sometime now.
When I place Greek characters in my drawings they only appear on the screen. They do NOT appear in my printed copy.
Any ideas pleae.
NO I am NOT a student and am 73yrs young :-)

Thank you Rovineye for your prompt response.
Actually I discovered the KULKA site via a different path.
KULKA had just what I wanted. Especially as the torque settings were defined in Nm as well as lb-in.

David
I have been tasked to discover the torque requirements for barrel nuts that attach to a MIL-SPEC terminal block 7TB12.
MIL-T-55164/13 and an FSN of 00-502-8473.
The barrel nuts are screwed onto Copper studs.
Each Barrel nut is cylindrical, 0.375" high, 0.235" in diameter, made of Brass.

butelja,
During my time in the RAF, as an Instrument Technician (NAV), I worked with two electro-mechanical analogue computing devices. One type was a bombsight calculator (MkXIV and T2), the other was A.D.R.I.S (Automatic Dead Reckoning Indication System) that was pneumatic/mechanical in...
Reubj,
The question you are asking is fraught with danger :-).
1.Do you want the connectors to be taken off and replaced many times?
2.Which way are the sockects mounted Hor. or Vert?
3.Which way do the cables leave the connectors?
4.When the cables leave the connector do they travel...
