    There is no easy way to predetermine the load deflection curve for such a part. Testing is you best bet as even FEA analysis requires experimental varification when it comes to rubber.

    Also, for a rubber compound consider Dupont Viton.

    Look to use a Viton compound that can be certed to FDA CFR Title 21, Chapter 1, Subchapter B, Part 177, Subpart C, Paragraph 2600 - Class I.

    There are other fills for PTFE that can enhance its steam resistance. Willastonite and some other minerals do not alter its FDA aproval or increase its abrasion to mating materials but can greatly affect its gemoetric stability.
