Have you done anything similar like this before regarding modelling coating as a cohesive element? I mean all I need to do is run a shear test and get the correct parameters for my model, but I am honestly not sure if that would be an accurate way to model coatings. I could not find any journal...
Hello everyone. I am trying to model a coating sandwiched between two plates in Abaqus and running a 2d simulation, so I cannot use SKIN. I was thinking of inputting the coating as a cohesive element. Is that accurate?
