    DC motor speed control

    Depending upon the HP of the drives, it is cheaper to retrofit new control onto the existing scr bridge. We call this a "front end" retrofit....usually about 100 hp and up. TMGE makes very versitle digital front ends that will easliy do this application.

    GE Fanuc Series 90-30 / Logicmaster 90

    Versapro is scheduled to be replaced by Machine edition, but if you are able to use DOS, LM90 cna be found free on a versa-pro demo disc. Call GE supply and see if they still have any kicking aroud. You will still need a SNP adaptor to talk serially

    sounds like you are trying to describe a series or a compound motor. Kt is the constant you want, and a PM motor is analogous to a shunt wound motor. A shunt wound motor will have better speed regulation, work better with a DC drive, but for heavy loads, the compund motor is the way to go. You...
