Im having a hard time trying to figure out how I would do this.

What would be the easiest way to model something like this without spending a ton of time?
Yea, I actually had our company get a new graphics card and its been working great until now. And Ive never had problems making an object transparent before, even with this same graphics card.
Can you apply appearances? YES
Can you apply the transparency via the Appearances manager? NO
Does the Display Plane flyout allow change? YES
Do the Hide and Suppress functions work? YES
Have you rebooted? YES
Have you re-installed the approved graphics driver? NO
Is there any reason why it wont work for me? Im in an assembly, I right click on an object and press "change transparency", and it doesnt do anything.
Anything I should check to see why its not working?
Hopefully this is simple enough..
Im trying to mirror one set of bodies to another side. If you take a look at the picture, Im trying to mirror the left side across Plane 3. I can mirror it just fine, however that line is there. (The one I circled) How do I merge the 2 parts together?
When I...
Unfortunately I am both the AutoCAD guy and the Solidworks guy. And since I have a lot more experience with AutoCAD, I prefer to use it for now.
So, I tried converting my assembly view into a CAD dwg. I went to SaveAs>ACIS (.sat)..
However, once I have that ACIS file, how do I open it in...
Is there anyway that I can take a view of my 3d design, and convert it into AutoCAD? We have some of our designs in Solidworks, and some in AutoCAD and I was hoping to transfer some of my models into AutoCAD, is this possible? Thanks!
Yea, it shows as transparent but prints as a solid.
And when I click off the transparent part, it turns back into a solid. I think someone on here said it does that because my graphics card isnt good enough. Is that probably what it is?
