Dear sir,
I have a quick question.
What is different between material is produced to fine grain practice and not defined fine grain practice.
Is there any physical changes in ASME code calculation.
Your quick response will be appreciated

Dear guys,
We are in a very difficult situation,
One of the Vessel (ID 3000, Shell Thk 35mm, SA516-70N) was over heated over around 800 Deg. C during PWHT for exceeding PWHT temp (650 Deg. C)
The result of this accident, mechanical proporties of vessel material come out to be reduced by 10%...
Dear sir,
When we need to segment reinforcement pad, please define whether we have to R/T and require welding efficiency F=1
as we know, ASME not define NDE requirement on this.
As per UCS56 in ASME, less than 13mm throut length of weld , PWHT is not required, but Client is asking for PWHT and Hydro test again due to precess requirement.
Process requirement is only for NACE and Sour service as we know.
For the additional information, this vessel material is of A516-70, and Design temp is 160 Deg. C, Process condition is NACE and Sour service for this vessel.
This internal stiffener was attached after PWHT and Hydro Test, and then this stifferner was removed again by Grinding.
Dear Engineers
I have a quck question about additional wleding after PWHT
and Hydro test completely.
present situation is as follows.
In a vertical pressure vessel of ID3000mm, shell Thk 17mm
herewith, one of Internal supporter (T10mm x 50mm) was attached with 8mm fillet welding and then...
Dear sir,
I have a queries on name plate of pressure vessel
without Code stamping.
Usually we attach name plate in the name of supplier of fabrication.
However, when we supply vessel equipment through sub-contactor who is incharge of fabrication of vessel.
In this case, our name plate is to be...
When I review this case in details, we have to consider why we have to hydro test after welding.
The purpose is to verify leakage on surface of vessel.
However, when we need additiona welding Vessel Long or Cir or nozzle as penetrated welding,
Absolutely, in this case, this carbon vessel should...

Hello !
I'm in a very difficult situation to do calculation of reinforcement area in common pad between Two nozzle, this case is not subject to multi- opening requirement as per UG-42.
the result of my calculation is follows.
- Required area : 0.5*d*tr in a single opening case
- Available area...
