It sounds like you've been able to get away with out using a PDM system because your group have been used to working a certain way. As you increase the size of your group ... you'll be pulling in people who work differently.
From my experience working with a PDM system is like...

Yes ... you can take both tests. BUT ... purchase the exams separately. The voucher is only good for One (1) exam. If you purchase more than one exam at a time you'll only be given credit for one and you'll be charged for the others in your "shopping" cart.
Good Luck

I couldn't agree more ... the certification should not be the basis of an interview. But don't get me wrong, it is something to be looked at.
If I had to interview two people who had similar career paths and skills and one of them was a CSWP ... I'd pick the CSWP.
But that's just my...
A lot of good posts here talking about the CSWP/CSWA programs.
I've been using SWx since 97 ... and even used it to design my home addition. It's a fantastic software ...
After hearing about the previous versions of the "test" I was too chicken to take it (even though I was told by VAR's and...

You were told 5-1/2 days of on-site training ??? That sounds like a bit much. Maybe you're being quoted for installation, training, and file transfer. But unless you've got several thousands of drawings and files you're going to put in your vault that still sounds excessive.
I learned how to...
Now I'm going to probably sound very insensitive ...
The test is the test ... there's nothing you can really do about it.
I understand that if you failed ... you're bummed out about it. I was bummed out when I failed the test my first time. But as I mentioned the first time I took it I...
The PDMWorks 2008 Server will NOT run on Windows Server 2000 ... if you want to use PDMWx 2008 then you need to upgrade to Windows Server 2003.
There is no work-around, or cheat, or short-cut ... it's WS 2003 or you don't run PDMWx 2008.
And if that weren't enough SolidWorks 2008 will not...
I'm not trying to be insensitive or anything but I don't understand something ...
(Some) People who failed the exam think there is something missing or not enough information given ... but there are others who took the same/similar exam (the only differences are there's different values for A...
JC ... the only thing I can think of is if you didn't pass the exam the first go-around it's probably part of their procedure/process to offer people who didn't fair so well on their first time the ability to take it again.
But that's just my thoughts ...

From what I've beeen told (and experienced) ... PDMWorks 2008 will only play with SolidWorks 2008. And vice versa ... SolidWorks 2008 will only play with PDMWorks 2008.
I've seen this happen because I have to hold off installing/upgrading all of my company's seats of SWx until we have the...
Scott ... before you go down the path of trying to create a manual PDM process ... have your company invest in PDM software.
There is no sure fire way to manually track when a drawing was updated, who did the update, etc. If you're thinking about trying to manually track changes to drawings...
I agree with Jeff ... "tape the game" ??? What kind of self-respecting football fan would do such a sacrilegious thing ???
I'm only interested in one game on Sunday and that's watching the Patriots trounce the Chargers. Can you say the all-time BEST football team in NFL History ??? I'll be...
