Help with ladder logic determining direction with quadrature

I have done this in a winch drum application, determining direction, distance, and a derivative speed. The linear sensing is accurate to the spacing of the prox sensors. One transition of each prox in either direction will set direction indication. The time span of "on" vs "off" should be made...

    Need a ONS in a SLC 5/03

The SLC 5/03 supports the OSR inststruction which can be set up to do equivelent ONS by setting up the input conditions correctly. Of course, 2 bits are required, one as inline condition and one for the OTE. The OTE address becomes the one-shot bit in subsequent logic, the other is simply to...

    Analog output to analog input

If you have the wires for the analog you have the means to communicate if both have DH+.

    Analog output to analog input

The output of the AB SLC 1747-NO4I is nicely isolated, and connectable to the isolated 1771-IL or to the non-isolated 1771-IFE since it is sink mode and the signal is sourced at the SLC module. I have a numkber of cases where I have done this with incompatible systems. Signal wires shield should...

    Two analogs to one VFD

I always just use a couple of dry contact discrete output to switch in the one I want via logic...make them mutually exclusive though.

    Reliance RNet PC Link 45C124

Hey everybody, I just need to locate a couple of these. Our plant still has a couple RNet plc networks using 30 or so nodes, alongside an AB network (40 nodes)and Motorola radio telemetry (45 RTU's. The PC link cards let me integrate via Wonderware. Anyone familiar?

    PLC Password

All but the most recent versions of AB PLC platforms will respond to "ABUNLOCK" Can't hurt to try.

    RSLogix 5

The program, when "saved as" saves only the offline program. It does not contain the online image, which may only be created once the program is downloaded to a processor and online save adds the online image.

    power factor ?

Two things: First, the varying power factor, as mentioned by waross, is due to the varying load. Induction motors present a high reactance (.3) as they become unloaded, improving with load toward the nameplate power factor at full load. Second, the power factor of the motor is constant with...
