Minimum Pipe Length Between 45 Bends

Thanks for your replies. As a general rule of thumb we try to keep spool pieces at least 2 feet long. I overheard someone today say no spool pieces less than 18" long. I may just call and see if they have specific guidelines. rconner - Ouch to breaking both legs!

Minimum Pipe Length Between 45 Bends

When making a 90 degree turn in pipe and using two 45s, is there a standard minimum pipe length for PVC (mechanical joint ductile iron fittings)? Does the length vary depending on the diameter of the PVC?

    water treatment technologies

I am not familiar with the specifics of the chemistry involved, but here is my two cents. Everyone around where I live is converting their pool systems to a saltwater system. It is supposedly cheaper and easier to maintain.

    Blue well water

I am from the Gulf Coast area. Thieves around here will strip a building of copper wire, tubing and pipe. I have heard that you can sell it for money. My point is that maybe you could sell your copper plumbing to help offset the cost of replacing the pipes. You may want to look into this and...

WaterCAD Connecting to Exist System Issue

The manual I have says to use a pump and reservoir. You need data from a fire flow test. I brought it up to my boss this morning and he gave me the full report he got the numbers from. I am off to read the report. I am attaching the info I pulled off of the WaterCAD help menu...

WaterCAD Connecting to Exist System Issue

It's really flat down here on the coast. I don't typically model these types of systems with a tank. I am using WaterCAD and usually do a reservoir with a pump. So, you think I should use the static (lower) pressure to set my design point on the well? Where I used to work I would have been...

WaterCAD Connecting to Exist System Issue

Hi. I have built a model for a small subdivision. The only information I have from the city is: Static Pressure = 22 psi Residual Pressure = 55 psi It doesn't seem like this is enough information. I hate to go ask my boss because this is my first week at the job. At the previous company I was...
