    Hairline crack in beam

@HTURKAK There are 4-20Φ bar at bottom in section M-M and 2-20Φ,2-16Φ bar and 2-16Φ extra at top. And additional reinforcement is provided in every beams and there are 4-20Φ at section N-N. I used 500mm as effective beam depth as reference with slab. I’m Unsure whether it is critical or not and...

Lift shear wall foundation above original foundation

Can we construct shear wall for lift above orginal foundation as the original footing is more deeper than required lift pit. So the mat footing for shear wall raises above the original building foundation. I plan to attach the shear wall into orginal building column but will have different footing.

Please help! lapping joggle falls on beam column joint while making plinth beam.

Actually the height of plinth was increased to get to road level and the half of the splice location fall on the plinth height. The lapping position was in alternate so these joggle fall at plinth beam and column joint. We had rebar detail's and client told to change the original height of...

My five story public building is situated in earthquake prone area. The contractor placed joggle at beam column joint. And 50 percent of laps fall at beam column joint while constructing plinth beam. Would it be ideal to construct the plinth beam at that joggled region? Please provide me some...
