Dear members
i am on the lookout for some links providing inputs related to a typical fabrication sequence of an offshore steel jacket, loadout methods including rocker arm details on the load out barge , transportation , installation including piling.
Where can I access a typical picture of a jacket being launched ino the sea? Any information on books related to the above information along with web links will be most appreciated.thanks in advance

Have a look at Ben Gerwick's book 'offshore Construction' or something like that. There ios another ref but it's slipped my mind. I'll come back later.

Hello Sk90. They will certainly be available I would think. You could try amazon. Not sure which country you're in, but if you have a local engineering institution or university it might be an idea to try the library. The books are pretty well known.

You could also try some of the oil industry magazines which are available on the internet eg 'offshore' , the oil man etc'. you might even get quite a bit of the info you need by doing a search with a few terms out of your orig posting.

Come back if you really get stuck and I'll see what else I can find.

Try the offshore-technology.com site; the projects section has lots of photos of all aspects of offshore exploration & production, for example
