I'm considering running two multistage barrel pumps in parallel. They are driven by motors(3000hp each) and one motor is connected with power recovery turbine.
Fluid : hydrocarbon
specific gravity : 0.876, temp.:97 'C
rated capacity : 219.8m3/hr
diff. head : 2490m (suc. press.:6.4kg/cm2g)
Normally one pump is delivering more flow with PRT. Recently PRT is in trouble due to vibration.
Piping layout is as follows : suc.12",dis.10",spillback4" each(with orifice)
I have no experience running in parallel mode. What will happen to 10th stage pumps? Is this a good choice to increase the flow?
