Can Lasers be used to weld plastic?  Does anyone make welders ready to use for this application?  What kind of laser would be appropriate?  Thanks.

Yes they can, but are very expensive. The parts need to be translucent and the parts need coating in the area that requires welding.

You could try wire weld.
