Is there an add on product available these days to extend length between teleposts of a resdential floor
Bearing 14.5 feet of joist
3 ply 2x10 with span of 10 feet
want to go to span of 13 or 14 feet on a 2x6 bearing wall to disperse the load a little as there is no footing under the basement floor
Surely in this day and age there is an angle steel beam to add instead of adding 2 2x10 14's
