Linear Bearing Design

Does anyone know anything about linear bearing design? We have an application which involves a stainless steel spool that cycles through currently a CA360 Brass bushing. I would like to change to possibly a graphite impregnated bronze bushing or something similar. If anyone has any experience or can help me out I'd really appreciate it. I have assembly drawings in .PDF format as well.
