Hello,

I want to make a portable battery charger for 9Volt NiMH batteries, but i don't know where to start or even what chip to use.

Thanks for any help
 
Maxim makes a couple of IC's you will find convenient to build your battery charger arround. You will need to specify a couple of components, but if you use there suggested circuit and provide the suggested voltage and power requirements, it will work fine, and I have packaged the circuit very compactly before.
