Please help me with particular questions concerning waste water/sewage treatment with aeration utilizing multi-stage centrifugal exhausters as the source of air flow:
1) Do these units typically run continuously in most operations?
2)  What are the "typical" capacities of these units in terms of exhaust CFM flow, and what is the "typical" discharge pressure?  Are we really primarily concerned with pressure, rather than airflow volume.....what is the balance mechanism?
3)  Are there adverse ramifications to using these units in terms of "thermal pollution" being that gas compression/exhaust temperatures are normally high?
4)  Are there particular models involved in sizing these units for a given set of parameters?  What are the typical parameters involved in the sizing?  Is there any book/s, software, and/or website/s that addresses sizing these systems?
5)  Why are these multi-stage units so popular for aeration systems?  Are there alternative air flow sources to multi-stage exhausters?  Are exhausters used simply because they exhibit higher Mechanical Efficiency, as opposed to positive displacement blowers or liquid ring vacuum pumps(used on the exhaust side)?  In your opinion, is there a better air flow source available in opposition to multi-stage centrifugal exhausters?
6)  What kind of problems do these multi-stage units run into typically, and what can be expected as far as a durability based on your experiences?
7)  Who are the reputable manufacturers of multi-stage centrifugal exhausters used for aeration purposes?
