The printer has decided to include vetical lines, spaced one inch apart, when I'm plotting from Microstation's print/plot. Can't seem to figure out why: is it a grid? no. Is it some idiotic default setting? no. Are there 1" vertical lines in my drawing? no.

Any help is appreciated.

update:

I've learned about a phenomenon called "banding" from HP's website. The recommended fixes, including relignment of printheads, did not solve the problem.
