I have a part containing sintered bronze components which was accidentally exposed to sea water for several months. Is there any kind of degredation mechanism which may have taken place in the sintered bronze?

According to ASM HANDBOOK Volume 13, bronzes are rated as either GOOD or EXCELLENT in exposure to seawater. I would only be concerned about seawater possibly being trapped in the porosity and then contaminating something else (lubricant, steel parts, etc.).
