comparison between inconel and ferralium

comparison between inconel and ferralium

comparison between inconel and ferralium

(OP)
We need to know the comparison between inconel and ferralium, because the existing valve material  is ferralium but the new material valve is inconel. Please advice us whether inconel can replace ferralium

RE: comparison between inconel and ferralium

you need to be more specific about the valve service.

ultimately the valve supplier has to warranty(or needs to be involved) with the materials selection.

RE: comparison between inconel and ferralium

Hi edfmm

You will need to look at your specific requirements because in many instances the properties of Inconel(600) are inferior to Ferralium(255) eg lower design stress, poorer resistance to erosion and abrasion.   However, if your Ferralium component was overdesigned you may find the Inconel more cost effective.....
