BIO Composite -> Stuck in mold

BIO Composite -> Stuck in mold

BIO Composite -> Stuck in mold

(OP)
Good morning,

I would like to ask if someone has the experience with stuck the biocomposite in the mold.
We are using the CFK mold separated with 3 layers of the Marbacote separator which is working quite nice every time. Currently, we are experiencing a problem to put off the part from mold.
Do you have any experiences how to demold the part ? We want to use this mold again so we don't want to destroy it.

The part was made in autoclave (120min, 5,5bar, 120oelsia)

Thank you!

RE: BIO Composite -> Stuck in mold

Failure to release is a common problem. Common solutions are plastic wedges, compressed air jet applied to the part line where some release has started, and maximizing thermal stress between part and mold. The thermal stresses can be maximized by post curing to as high a temperature as allowed to make sure cure is as complete as possible and cooling the mold and part as much as possible when trying to release. A water jet at the part line might work better than compressed air. Just don't launch anything with compressed air.
