ISO1217:2009 Actual Volume Flow Rate
ISO1217:2009 Actual Volume Flow Rate
(OP)
Good Morning All,
I am attempting to calculate the mass flow of a air compressor that's Free Air Delivery is 725.0 liter/second at 8.6 bar(g).
ISO 1217 states the the Actual Volume Flow rate is "compressed and delivered at the standard discharge point, referred to conditions of total temperature, total pressure and composition prevailing at the standard inlet point"
So with knowing the ambient conditions at the inlet point (20 C and 1 bar(a) 0% RH), I know the density at the inlet point. Is this as simple as V (l/s) * D (kg/m^3) / 1000 , or am I misinterpreting this standard?
Extra Info: This compressor operates between 6-8.6 bar(g) at 725.4 - 725.0 l/s
Thank you for your assistance, and please let me know if I can provide any additional information.
Floyd.
