where to buy a shipping case?

(OP)
Hi,I plan to customized a shipping case,I search many website,I found this company: https://weihanbag.com/eva-case/tool-eva-case/ Because it could custom any shape.

But I think it looks a bit cheap and a little soft. And it will take some time to custom a new case.

I want to look for a hard case, which kind of hard case do you need?Plastic?Aluminum?

And where could get an exited shipping case?

Could you share it?

Thanks

RE: where to buy a shipping case?

I would avoid a Chinese handbag maker for a shipping case, not even going to send traffic to their website to visit.

Shipping cases are best made of heavy duty plywood and nailed or bolted together over a sturdy hardwood frame.

RE: where to buy a shipping case?

First define your problem.

"Shipping case" is very vague.
Size?
Weight of contents?
Shape of contents?
Re usable or one off delivery?
Lockable?
Weight of case?
Just for shipping or air freight?

Remember - More details = better answers
Also: If you get a response it's polite to respond to it.

RE: where to buy a shipping case?

Pelican is the go-to.
I am sure that if you search you can find people competing with them.
I used to ship samples to tradeshows in these cases.
60-80lb of metal parts.
They lasted for years.

RE: where to buy a shipping case?

For years, before laptops were powerful enough to run our high-end CAD/CAM software, I had a portable (you still had to plug it in) workstation, for when I was giving presentations or attending conferences, which if I was only going for a day trip, I could bring it on the plane as carry-on, but for any extended trip, I had a large Pelican case, with an extending-handle and wheels, where the workstation, along with some extra stuff, was placed in a foam-fitted interior. I then placed locks on the case lid and checked it as baggage. I never had any problems with it, and it traveled with me all around the world. Granted, it was often the cause of a lot of questions and interest when passing through customs, but I always carried with me the proper documentation since the software alone installed on my computer was worth close to $100K, but since the software was coded to only run on that particular computer, it was not considered something being imported/exported, but then that's why I had to have the documents that I did.

Anyway, if there is any intention to reuse this so-called 'shipping case', a Pelican case would be a wise investment. Now they aren't cheap, but they do the job.

RE: where to buy a shipping case?

Like what little inch said it really depends on what type of equipment or product you want to ship. And what are the airlines requirements.
And it would be a good idea to obtain their requirement to ship by air or ground.

I purchase cases that are durable , have latches and can be pad locked. And can be identified. Name tags, and or stickers.
Delicate items will require very durable outer construction with built in padding on the inside
Expensive manufactured product will require two tier or more packaging. The items will require bag and tagged prior to inserted into a case or box.
And preservation with depend on the product or material. No simple answer unless more details are supplied

RE: where to buy a shipping case?

The problem at hand is that the original request seems mainly like a plug for the Chinese handbag maker.

Maybe the OP has a legitimate request, but that would normally include the sort of item to be shipped, the means of shipping, any cost or other limitations rather than what was presented.

For a long time Zero cases were the best for hand-carry items. Then came Pelican, which are fine. No idea who makes cases to move stage performance (instruments, lighting, et al) materials, but those see a heavy beating.

Anyway, it should start with a performance specification and an interface control drawing.
