Input Single Component Applied Force from SPLINE
Input Single Component Applied Force from SPLINE
(OP)
Hello All,
I have a data set that is time vs. force. I would like to calculate a resultant force due to this applied force at any given time and I am not sure how this can be done.
I have imported this time vs. force data into MSC Adams as a spline, but I am not sure how to turn it into a force in Adams View.

RE: Input Single Component Applied Force from SPLINE
I have been working through the latch tutorial, but the tutorial is focusing on graphing the test data vs the simulation for a given force. I am more specifically trying to use my data as the input force for the simulation.
I was looking at making my input force a design variable, but doing that automatically organizes my data from least to greatest. It also does the entire simulation at each force input. Is there a way to only have the simulation calculate the reaction force at the given time? For example, if the force is 300 lbs at t=0.01 sec and 290 lbs at t=.05 sec, then it would find the reaction force at both those times, given those specific input forces.
I appreciate your help.

The reaction forces will be generated at every time interval, you just have to measure them.
