I'm trying to understand how SAFE calculates the critical section perimeter for punching shear. My design standard is CSA A23.3-14. Here's my column:

The effective slab depth (d) according to SAFE is 170.5mm. I calculate the perimeter as 300+170.5/2+170.5/2+600+373=1443.5mm
SAFE comes up with 1241.5mm. Where is that coming from?

SAFE Standard 21.2.0
