Search functions in Eng-Tips

(OP)
I'm going to apologize right out of the starting gates if this is not the proper forum in which to place this question. I’ll be happy to repost if someone can correct me.

My question relates to the search functions within Eng-Tips.com. It seems that some weeks ago I lost the ability to define a detailed search for specific terms in certain locations within a specified date range. Am I overlooking this capability in a different area, or has this advanced search actually been removed from the platform?

Thanks in advance for any advice or direction.

RE: Search functions in Eng-Tips

You are among the many who are complaining, and with good reason. The new search is useless, but hopefully the features of the legacy search will be reinstated soon.

RE: Search functions in Eng-Tips

I usually have better luck applying search codes like "site:eng-tips.com" in a commercial search engine like google, duckduckgo, etc rather than version of those same engines that are on the websites themselves.
