can anybody suggest a good correlation for petroleum fraction viscosities as a function of API, K, etc.
many graphical solutions are available, but i am looking for a reliable equation that could be fed into a program.

Have you looked in the API technical data books?

ASTM 2502 is the standadr for molecular weight Vs viscosity and there is amnother standard for viscosity gravity gradients that may be useful. (I will come back with a number tommorow.

Thanks, TD2K and jmw.
I did get some useful correlations in API data book. will check ASTM 2502 as well.
