Ventilation - pressure drop calculation for rectangular Tee

Ventilation - pressure drop calculation for rectangular Tee

(OP)
Hello,

How can I calculate pressure drop for branch for rectangular Tee like this:

Ashrae, SMACNA and other literature sources do not contain coefficients for this type of branch.
I can find coefficients only for branch with leading bevel:

But I want to know it is possible to calculate pressure drop for branch of first type of tee?

RE: Ventilation - pressure drop calculation for rectangular Tee

Use Fitting N or fitting P from the SMACNA guide. If I don't find one listed, I use a close type and use the largest C-value of the options.

Design isn't about finding the correct value. it is finding a value that will work for sure. There are so many things going on in a duct and not all options can possibly be listed. Always good to be conservatives.

And please when posting a fitting, show the context inc. the table with the coefficients etc. Also list what the source is. i didn't readily find what you showed in SMACNA. So, I assume it is an ASHRAE source? I bet part of the answer is in the information SMACNA provided along with the picture you posted.
