Hi All

I am looking at the materials data for a plastic analysis that I have run. The strains predicted by the model exceed those in the stress-strain curve. I want to understand what Ansys does in this situation. The material data is defined using the Multilinear Isotropic Hardening property.

Does the program extrapolate the stress/strain curve from the last few data points or does it simply flat line?

Suggest running a simple one element axially loaded test case to sort this out.
