Following on from this thread - is anyone able to help refer me to the international standards that limit ductility assumptions where a building has seismic torsional sensitivities?

I believe that Eurocode 8 does this. Refer Section 5.2.2.

NZS1170.5 also has some provisions related to making sure you have sufficient lines of major seismic resistance or an orthogonal structural system to prevent unconstrained torsional effects (i.e. one side of the structure yields and the other doesn't and it is free to twist without anything to stop this behaviour).

Hi Agent,

I'd appreciate you're thoughts on my original thread too please if you don't mind?
