Hello everyone!!
I'm a student of Petroleum engineering course at my final stage, I'm writing about 9 5/8" production casing selection model for well with CO2 and H2S gases concentrations.

I'm looking for tips or suggestions about a models or equation to model a proper production casings based on these gases concentrations so I can move forward with the design of this casing.

I'm working with Landmark's Compass and Stresscheck model but they're limited in terms of gas concentrations.

Any tips or suggestions would be helpful.

Well the deal is that CO2 in the flowsteam produces carbonic acid which causes corrosion and is handled by either using carbon steel with increased wall thickness or using stainless steel. H2S causes stress corrosion cracking which can also be handled by proper slelection of materials which is discussed in NACE publications. It gets pretty complex when both are present. However it does not effect any stress calculations other than you corrosion allowances.
