PCI 8 Point Pick Recommendation

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone was familiar with the 8 point pick recommended spacing for precast in the PCI manual? I have a precast slab where we will need to do an edge pick and it will exceed the spacing for an 8 point pick as shown in the PCI manual and I am wondering if anyone has done that and what the implications are. Thanks in advance!

Specified pick points are located to minimize bending stress, which reduces the chance of cracking.
If other points are desired, you can perform necessary calcs:
"Calculations for Handling & Shipping Precast Deck Panels".
