Support Structures for 3D Printing
(OP)
Hi, if I was to 3D print a vertical cylinder of length 60mm and diameter 8mm, does this require any support structures?

RE: Support Structures for 3D Printing
If the position for printing the cylinder is in vertical position as you say, I think it should not be necessary, in case the base is stuck. But the normal thing is to print a support structure joined with tabs that can be split and thus remove the excess material.
RE: Support Structures for 3D Printing
It depends on your printer.
I would expect a vertical cylinder to be easy to print unless it is hollow.
