Hi guys, I have a question, when designing AND analyzing elements in Etabs we use stiffness Modifiers to model a cracked section, should we do the same while designing floor slabs in SAFE?

Thks in Advance

My understanding is that SAFE uses more robust nonlinear calculations, and that for deflection purposes you do not need to use stiffness modifiers as SAFE is theoretically determining the cracking of the slab in its analysis. However for ultimate limit state strength calculations, you might use stiffness modifiers. However I have only used SAFE once so I will be following this thread to see what others say as well.
